One direction were formed on x factor with help from Simon Cowell however arctic monkeys were and independent band during their uprise .

Domino records , 360,000 . To keep the authenticity .
5) Looking at the wider music industry, has the internet been a positive or negative development for record companies and artists? Why?
Internet had been a positive development for artists . This is because it is easier to become established artists through the internet compared to the last century where there was no internet and it was harder to become a musician .

The intro with the speech , "don't believe the hype" , will influence fans to believe arctic monkeys are ordinary people . When one of the singers mentioned 1984 it gave nostalgia  to older fans . The Ikegami 3-tube cameras build a 1980's theme .
4) How did fans take a leading role in making Arctic Monkeys famous back in 2005?
They uploaded their music on myspace to share it and it eventually impacted the growth of popularity of arctic monkeys .
5) How are fans positioned to respond to the band? What does Arctic Monkeys want fans to think about their video?
They would share the video around . The Arctic monkeys expect fans to think that they realise the hype around them .
