 “The internet has given audiences much more power than ever before.” To what extent do you agree with this statement? The audience have gained a lot of power with the audience for almost all aspects of the media , however they are some ways they have lost power in some media industries . 1 industry  where the audience have gained a lot of power is the music industry .They’re are a lot of changes in this industry since the rise of the internet . Some changes are the ways music is viewed , such as youtube. The adventage for the audience with youtube is they  do not have to pay to listen to music whereas before the internet you would of have to pay to listen to music but youtube is ultimately free .   1) What is the preferred reading of a media text? This is the message or ideology/belief that the producer wants you to go away with. 2) What is the oppositional reading of a media text? When the audience rejects the preferred reading  , and creates their own meaning for the text  . This can happen if the   media contains controversial themes that the audience member disagrees with. 3) How does the Harry Brown trailer position the audience to respond to the teenage characters in the film?
